Router unable to connect to Broadband App

Following an Android update, the Samsung S9 no longer has WPS support. How do I connect to the Vodafone broadband app without WPS?

That's weird @RobFindlay, have you checked the forum for any other people experiencing this issue? If not, I'd contact the manufacturer to see if they're aware and have an update ready to fix this bug.

@DaneB Is there a way to pair the vodafone broadband app to the router without using WPS?

You should be able to enter the SSID and password manually, WPS is not the only way to add your mobile to the network.

@keithalger there is no option to manually insert SSID and password. The only option is WPS. I've tried chatting directly to Vodafone but all agents are constantly busy so unsure how to pair the router with the app.

Just so there's no confusion,  my phone has connected to the router. It's the vodafone broadband app that I cannot connect.

Okay, so your phone is connected to the router WiFi

You launch the app and are presented with a checklist

Click on "Preceed"

Choose your router

Click on Yes, it's all set up!

It should then present you with a screen that allows you to either scan the QR code on the router or enter the details manually via the phone WiFi settings

After you've done that it should then take you to the pairing screen.

Hi Keith  thanks for your help with this. There is no option to enter manual details or scan a QR code - just the WPS option which just times out after 2 minutes. I've tried to attach screenshots but the browse files link isn't working.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, sometimes playing captain obvious does come up trumps.  That what you are seeing is so different makes me think this is some kind development issue with the app - * I don't even see the WPS option in the app, but then again that's as far as I can get in the app thanks to not using the VF router!
