Vodafone will not release line for new provider

Switched to Vodafone on 13 March but they were unable to connect. As a result, I cancelled and have attempted to move to a new provider. My new provider informed me that Vodafone refuse to release the line. I work from home and have been without broadband for over 2 weeks now which is causing problems in my job as I’m hotspotting with unstable service. Vodafone tell me the line needs to be “dormant “ for 2 weeks but have exceeded the 2 weeks and still won’t release the line. I’ve spoken to at least 10 different advisors and keep getting fobbed off, the customer service is absolutely appalling.
