Data tethering (mobile hotspot) while on Around the World Extra

Does anyone know if you can tether the mobile data allowance of an Around the World Extra pack? I'm travelling to New York in a few weeks and want to check if the data allowance can be shared with other  mobile devices. I'm likely to hotspot with my mother when we can't get WiFi.

I shouldn't see why not as the act of hotspot is as you state letting another phone or tablet etc share your data allowance and isn't connected as such to the tariff.

Vodafone wouldn't even know your connecting that way to another device. They just see data usage on your account. 

So as long as your phone allows a hotspot connection and the other device can connect then you should be good to go @Sarahdawrant 

Just to add tethering can tax your battery thus depleting it quicker.

Also if a person tethers using a device that can access richer Internet content this can use more data. Also if the other device updates while connected to your phone this can also use more data.
