Is there any way to do a top-up for a micro-amount, for example £1, perhaps via third-party channels? I've never understood why UK networks don't allow top-ups for any random amount, as happens in many other countries, instead of only inflexible increments of £5 or £10.

As far as I'm aware that's not possible with the Vodafone UK Network.
However, You could see if it gives you the option if topping up with a debit card @NFH

Hi @NFH
As you have mentioned you can only top up in £5.00 increments. However, if you find you need urgent credit, there is always the option of Vodafone IOU, you simply borrow up to £3.00 and repay with a service charge when you next top up.
