Is there a way of topping up my account with a user defined amount? I have £4.74 sitting in my account I cannot use as it's not £5 or £10 and I cannot round it up so it can be used to buy a bundle. I would prefer to have the money sitting in my bank account so how do I get a refund if I cannot top it up??

The minimum top up is £10.00 @JennyB , you can't just top £4.75.
If you don't want a bundle just opt out here: How do I remove my Big Value Bundle? See here on how PAYG works.

I don't think you read my question correctly, I know the top-ups are £5,£10 etc so regardless of me topping up set amounts the £4.74 in my account will still remain unusable. So, as I cannot top-up with a user defined amount (ie. £5.26 to round it up to £10) I would like the money back. SO, how do I get a refund because I cannot find that information as usual.

The information is here @JennyB What happens to my account credit when I leave Vodafone?
Quite simply if you no longer want the service just request a refund of remaining credit.
Drop the Social Team a message here: Contact Us and see if they can arrange for you to receive the credit back to the card it was taken from.

I don't want to leave the service? Never mind.

@JennyB - I've checked this for you and I'm sorry that for us to arrange a refund on an active account, it needs to be fore a minimum of £5.

So I cannot get my money back? That's just wrong. I wonder how many millions of pounds are sitting in customers accounts they cannot use and cannot get back? Can you point me to the T&C's that confirm this is right please I feel I want to pursue further. It's a principal thing. I cannot see how this can be legal.

It is simply a company policy @JennyB that for active accounts the minimum we can refund is £5. If you topped up again and the balance sat at £14.17 for example, the whole amount can be refunded as it is above the £5 benchmark. All refunds are also subject to a 5% refund fee up to the maximum of £5. When an account is cancelled, any and all credit on the account can be refunded.
