Hi all,
I’m Dana, and I’m hoping you can all help with an issue I’m having. I left Vodafone last September when we moved house and closed my account, confirmed via email by Vodafone. However I just discovered last week that my ‘account’ has been sent to a debt collection agency for a bill of £16 which is considered ‘in arrears’. I paid this as soon as I found out, however I think it’s appalling that my credit has been significantly impacted over a bill I knew nothing about and for which Vodafone had not contacted me, either by phone, email, or post. I have never missed a payment, and would not have hesitated to pay a bill of £16 if I knew about it.
Please can anyone advise if they have been in a similar situation and who to speak to next? I’ve been in touch with the customer disputes team but they have not been helpful, and I would like to resolve this with Vodafone before investigating other consumer protection avenues.
