Solution

Data top up but havent received in over 24 hours. Already added to bill, but I unable to use phone

Hi,

I ran out of data yesterday so I topped up. After waiting on the phone for 50 minutes I got through to a person at vodafone. The person I spoke with was helpful, and said they will add the extra data on for an extra fee. I needed my phone to work, so accepted the cost. In my experience these extras or line unblockings happen within 20 mins or so, some are minutes.. I know it says they will sometimes take up to 24hours but I assumed this wouldnt be the case. But now more than 24 hours later my data hasnt been added, and its already on my next bill. 

Anyone experienced this? I assume the best thing to do is call, but another 50 minute wait with really glitchy music doesnt sound appealing..
Any advise welcome.

That's correct @seb25 data usage will be automatically capped and without purchasing extra data, it will be impossible to go over the monthly allowance.

 

When you spoke to an advisor, it would have been recommended to add an extra here: Extras you would have been able to opt into the extra through your My Vodafone Application.

 

I would recommend checking your application or online account, if the extra data has been added it will show there.

 

If you still have problems as you have come to the forum for help, for account access speak to the Social Team through Twitter or Facebook social channels here: Contact Us When they have found the problem they will be back to you with a solution, saves waiting in a queue for customer Services or a lengthy web chat.
