I had some fraudulent activity on my google account which charged £100 to my Vodafone account which were linked via an old Android Phone.
I reported the activity to Vodafone and they directed me to Google. Google were exceedingly helpful and said they would investigate the transactions and would hopefully reimburse me. However they required a Correlation ID (not the transactional ID on the receipt of Google Play). This ID must come from the network provider (Vodafone). After some very long phone calls at Vodafone in several different departments and at different levels, they all could not provide me with this ID that Google required, most of the responses were: “we have no idea what this ID is”
I have given up now, it is my fault that has allowed this to happen and a person from Asia to take £100 of my money through a clever exploitation of my poor email administration and not closing my old email accounts.
If you have had fraud activity and need a correlation ID, my advice do not ask Vodafone for it, they have no idea what it is. And ensure you close old email accounts if you don’t use them.

Correlation ID is the same as a transaction ID. Check your emails for your email receipt and the ID should be in that email.
