I had contract with Voda .I moved abroad for personal reasons but didn’t cancelled my contract with a view it will be stopped once contract finishes. When I came back in 2014 I saw my money almost finished as Voda over deducted almost a year .I called them had hard talks they said it was automatic renewd as per terms but I was not informed when I contacted.Anyhow after 13 years again appeared notice received I own their money. I am really astonished where to go ,who to ask, I tried to be simple and honest but they took lots of money still behind me. This is Voda

Yes @snbkr , you need to refer to the Terms and Conditions here: Pay Monthly Terms and Conditions . As you can see contracts are for a minimum term and not a fixed term, you also need to give 30 days notice for cancellation. If the contract is not cancelled it will continue to roll over on a 30 day month to month basis until you give Vodafone instructions to cancel or request a PAC to move to an alternative provider.
This is the same with all mobile companies, and will include your home broadband, Sky TV contract and your utilities etc they all continue until you make a decision and do something about them.
It's surprising you didn't see the amount coming out of your bank, this would have raised some alarm bells, one plus point is if you had stopped paying, this would have been reported against your credit file and affected your UK credit rating.

Thanks for your input basically I hav to stay abroad almost two years that was not in my plan. My contract was expiring in 2013 and I left in July 12. And I assure you I believe no one read mobile contract being very long and legal . I’m sure you might also never read it . Yes it was my mistake I had no knowledge and it’s happening everyday with the newcomers in the Uk
