Paying an old vodafone bill

HELP! Im currently applying for a mortgage and unknown to me there is a Vodafone balance on there. Must be from an old account as the date is May 2013.  Its £90 and i just want to get it cleared off. Ive spoken to numerous agents on live chat who were useless to say the least!...i cant call up as you are required to put in mobile/account number which i done have. Really dont know what else to do and need to get this sorted ASAP.

Anything that old won't be on the main system and frontline customer services won't be able to see it and may struggle to help you.   Your best option is to drop a note to the Social Media team on Facebook or Twitter as this will need to be escalated to Credit File Support - they will have access to the full history and can also help with any hit to your credit rating (though that may have gone by now if the matter is that old).

If the debt is six years old, or nearly six years old,  then it is debatable whether clearing it will achieve anything other than a hole in your wallet.  However I don't claim to understand all the ins and outs of these situations,  so I'll leave the advice to those who do.
