My number is supposed to be ported by 24 th dec 2020. which did not happen and when I contacted web chat, I was assured porting will happen by 29th of Dec 2020.. Sim worked for a day or two and then again I got a message "SIM not provisioned for voice calls" and when I contacted webchat again, I was assured issue would be resolved in a day/two which again did not happen..
Finally when I contacted again webchat, surprisingly my service is disconnected and by vodafone's technical team as part of trouble shoot and not communicated to me at all. I was without a service for almost 10 days by then and asked to provide me PAC code, then webchat team asked my permission to reconnect the service as they cannot generate PAC code without reconnecting..
I asked them to reconnect and did not get the service for another 3 days.. This time again when called them, the reconnect request is still pending and this time customer care team suggested I should cancel the contract and use PAC number from my old provider to get the new connection. I followed the suggestion and phone number and old PAC code combination is not valid...
I am writing this message while I was waiting to get transferred for more than 40 minutes to the appropriate team by one of their web chat team to resolve the issue..
By total I would have spent more than 20 hours chatting with web chat team and calling customer care, issue is not resolved and probably lost my phone number..

Sounds like like a big mess indeed !
I hope you get this resolved via customer services and you don't actually lose control of your number.
