My daughter moved to Australia 5 years ago. I look after her mail. A refund cheque has just arrived for £18.96. It is dated 19/11/20/ 14 months late and no longer valid. An extreme example of slow service

I am not making excuses for Vodafone @mgtclark but I wouldn't be surprised if this is due to Covid, like many companies Vodafone staff would have been working from home, staff have returned to work and jobs that should have been completed before the end of 2020 have just been discovered.
