Roaming in Turkey

Going on holiday in Turkey for 10 days.

I am pay monthly but my plan doesn't include the global roaming extra.

Am I correct to assume that I could upgrade my plan a day before travelling, benefit from the global roaming, upon return cancel within 14 days. Only be liable to pay the pro rota increase in cost to the plan and not be retroactively charged for the data used while abroad?

It's a great idea to avoid the daily charge @StuartKicks . 

The way I see it is you will be cancelling the upgrade and reverting back to your original pre upgrade status from the day of upgrade.  A further consideration is the plan you were on pre upgrade may no longer be available and you will be put back onto an equivalent plan.

In my opinion, don't use roaming because the price of Turkcell SIM card in Turkey is around 600 and it is cheap and has high internet speed.
