Hi new member here,
I’m in the process of switching from Vodafone pay as you go to pay monthly unlimited data texts and mins, @ £13pm for 6 months then £26 thereafter and have set the spend manager to £10 but on my future bill for December (haven’t had first bill yet as only signed up Saturday and still waiting on new sim to arrive) it’s showing the pro rata out of plan charges as £13 so my questions here are
1. where as the additional £3 come from? you can only set it yourself from between £10-£100
2. Why is it showing on my bill as pro rata already when I might not use any of it during the billing period (will it be removed if I don’t use any of it will it be removed from the bill when it’s generated?
on another point it’s showing my total bill payment for December as £26 and not taking into account the £15 discount even though bill has got discount -£14 my bill for December shows as this
monthly payment £27 ( £1 more than it should be ?)
pro rata out of plan charges £13
discounts -£14
total amount due £26 (instead of the £13 I’m expecting to pay for first 6 months)
can anyone shed any light on what is going on ? I appreciate that I haven’t had my first bill yet and December is only an estimate but it’s confusing me or I’m I best to wait for the first two bills to be generated I’m aware that the first bill will be higher because of paying in advance and the extra days from activation date
thanks for any advice

Hi @BSF74
Please see first bill on this link: Get started with Vodafone mobile
Line rental is paid in advance and to bring you in line with your billing date, Vodafone will charge part of a month, plus one full months line rental in advance. If you have been given a discount, as the first bill is pro rata and the discount is for a full month, the discount will show on the second and subsequent bills.
As far as your Application is concerned, until the first bill has been produced and you are out of the pro rata billing period you won't be able to get an accurate breakdown of usage or charges. When you have received the first bill and have something to go on check the billing date, you will be able to see the extra days billing.
