I recently upgraded to a new phone (pixel 8 pro), and switched to an eSIM in the process.
With my old phone I was able to connect to Vodafone Wifi on the tube, I had the authentication settings for the network set up as per this forum post: https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Latest-news/WiFi-on-the-London-Underground/m-p/2728674, with the method set to AKA.
With my new phone, I can connect to all other networks just fine, but not the vodafone network on the london underground. I've tried all the combinations of AKA, SIM, AKA', and PEAP with those, but nothing works.
I can only assume it's something to do with moving to the eSIM, as others I know with the same phone have had no trouble connecting to the tube wifi again. I suspect it might be the same issue as described here in this archived forum thread, where vodafone had not updated the IMSI used for authentication to the tube wifi when someone had a new sim: https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Archive/Unable-to-connet-to-London-Underground-wifi-using-VodafoneWi...
Is anyone here able to help with this, like in that other thread?
