Very high data usage entry on bill

Hi,

I have a very very high data usage entry (770MB - high for me!) for 17 Dec on my itemised bill. It stands out a mile from my standard daily average (less than 5MB a day). Struggling to think what it may be for? I don’t download films or music, just occasional short YouTube videos. Could I have left something “playing” on my phone by accident maybe? Thanks for any advice.

It's possible apps or your phone's software updated in the background @wolfie882

Vodafone can only see the amount of data that's been used but not what it's been used for.

You might be able to get more information from any relevant built in data monitor in your phone.

I suspect this is a round up of your daily data usage lumped together @wolfie882

770 MB is minimal and is only 0.77 of a GB, you can easily get through this or more on a daily basis just by looking at applications or with the phone completing updates in the background.

Having mentioned that, Vodafone wouldn't be able to see where the data was used, all they will be able to see is the amount used.

If you are using Android go into your settings >  device care and optimise the phone.  To find out where your data is being used, go to settings, connections scroll down to data usage > mobile data usage and select a time period, this will give an idea of the Application where the data could have been used.

Also, keep checking your My Vodafone Application, this will give a good idea of how much data you are using.
