Voicemail acting up

Tried listing to my voicemails, for which I have to call 1233. The first two times I did this all I heard was static and then it hung up. After the third time it worked, anyone have any idea what could have caused this?

@ovdose Was that a landline or mobile, you don't say. Is there flooding near you? In the old days (copper wire) we would blame the weather for that.

You dial 121 for Vodafone voicemail access, 1233 is the voicemail access number for Lebara, including some other MVNO networks.
