Hi there,
Had a family member just switch networks (number transferred this morning) but they have found the phone (purchased from Vodafone last year) is locked.
Am I still able to apply for a NUC or is it too late?
Thanks

There is a criteria set by Vodafone for unlocking..
They are found in the Nuc form at the side of the forum page.
One is the sim needs to have been used for 30 days making calls etc before a nuc can be requested and on Pay Monthly x3 bills paid.
There's a few more bits of criteria too.
So pop in your Vodafone sim and use it for 30 days or pick up a Vodafone Payg sim card and top it up so calls and texts can be used and use it for 30 days or have a reputable online unlocking site unlock.it for a fee @ashsparks

So the phone needs to have an active Vodafone SIM in it at the time of applying for a NUC?
The Vodafone SIM had been active for the past year and only had the number transferred out this morning...

If a sim card hasn't been used in a phone for a period of time then sometimes the phone's imei number can drop off Vodafone's systems so needs to be used again in the phone.
If the sim has recently been used in the phone then you should be good to go.
You'll know when you request the Nuc as the return email will accept your request or say the imei isn't recognised @ashsparks
