Vodafone Curve app "something went wrong"

I have a Vodafone Curve and its worked fine for 2.5 years. It looks like it had an update a few days ago so not sure if that is a coincidence but now when I try and open the app it says "something is not working" 

When I put the Curve on charge I get the symbol on my phone and also when the battery runs low I get the warning but when I try and open the App it just says "Something not working" and Try again.

When I press and hold the button on the Curve it still alerts my phone as well so I don't think its the curve that is not working.

I have restarted the app and re started the mobile but still doesn't work.

Hi. Did you happen to find a solution to this? I have the same problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it still won't connect to the device. I get as far as inputting the IMEI no but then it fails. Thanks.
