As long as the phone was used recently on their network then Vodafone can imei block / blacklist the phone.
Please use these official links to find out how to get your phone and sim card blocked.

And or phone Vodafone customer services.
Unfortunately there is no access to accounts on the forum.
The Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook or X (twitter ) also have account access.
Also change any sensitive passwords such as online banking etc.
When Vodafone send you a new sim card you may need to speak to customer services to have the sim block removed.
