Suspicious txt re update

I received a TXT messages this morning purporting to come from VF, however, used to receiving many phishing

messages and spoofs I thought I would call VF support to ask if legitimate.

It was asking me to click in a link to update my network settings and install a profile

They were adamant that they had not send me any txts and to delete it.

It appears to be legitimate, and knowing from experience how incompetent VF can be I thought I would seek your opinions

Hi @FunkyJunky  have you recently updated ios? I get that message after firmware updates and got it last week after updating to ios 13, if you phone is still working on Vodafone for data etc. there is no need to update.

Yes indeed, but VF should really get their act together and give a definitive answer and not tell their customers that "it definitely didnt come from them!"

Many thanks for you help
