Will my phone be blacklisted?

I recently ( 2weeks ago) bought a vodafone locked iPhone 11 off a friend and had it unlocked to use on EE.  My friend has just gone bankruptcy  and has stopped paying his  vodafone bill, which is still under contract.  He was only 4 months into his contract.

I had no idea that he was selling a phone that he had recently got under contract.

Vodafone will stop the sim card and put a bar on the person's account and then probably instigate collections.

It's very rare for the phone to be imei barred unless the owner tells Vodafone the phone is lost or stolen @zw779120
