During my 12 years at Vodafone I've worked in Customer Service for 6 months, Sales & Retention for 5 years and the remaining 6.5 years in Social Media 🎉
I try and specialise in everything social. I'm responsible for shaping the direction of our Social Media team, ensuring we're consistently improving and delivering great customer service all whilst staying ahead of the curve!
I'm also currently managing the Internet of Things launch for social, which I’m sure will change the way everything’s done in the future.

• Ancient Egypt: I’d love to go back in time and see what it was actually like, plus if aliens really did build the pyramids (no, I don’t actually believe that!) 👽
• Virtual Reality: I’m bad for getting lost in a gaming world as it is, but now with the VR I can actually get lost in a gaming world! 🎮
• Going to the Dentist
• Being ignored ☹️
I joined the company in 2002 as a Customer Care agent and became a Team Manager the following year!
I've worked in lots of different departments over the years including Sales, Repeat calls, Customer Relations and working with brand new starters to the business. I first joined Social Media in 2011 and haven't looked back since 😊
Before I joined Vodafone I was hairdressing for 10 years - you can guarantee one of the team is always asking me for a favour 💇

• Ant & Dec
• Going on holiday to Florida ☀️🎢
• Spending time with the family and my dog Cysco 🐶
• Sprouts 🤢
• Answering questions about myself!
During my 11 years with Vodafone I've had experience in Retentions, leadership, training & coaching. I first joined Social Media roughly 6 years ago and I started off primarily on here (Community forum) and then incorporated the other Social Media channels.
I've now been a manager here for just over a year and love it. Between @Michelle and I, we have a great group of people with such a variety of personalities that no day is the same.
Before Vodafone I had quite a mixture. Initially I trained as a chef, working in France and coming back to the UK to take a Head Chef position 👨🍳
Originally I’m from Dover in Kent, so the sea has always been in my blood as well as having a lot of family in the trade. I joined the Merchant Navy and trained as a Marine Engineer. It was great. I got to travel the world and got paid! ⛵
I’m quite a techy person which helps when it comes to supporting the team. I’ve also gained a good understanding of credit files and this is an area my team now specialize in.

• I enjoy darts and currently run a team in our local leagues 🎯
• Being from Dover it was only natural I supported Liverpool. I couldn’t even tell you how it came about but from an early age I’ve pledged my allegiance to the mighty reds and suffered the lows as well as the highs.
• Growing up - As much as I want to progress in my career and get the most from life, I still feel like I left school yesterday. I’m just a big kid!
• Diets – It may be a little controversial but I love my food and really enjoy great meals and the social aspect it can bring. I never understand why people deny themselves such luxury. I know the desire to lose a little, but in my opinion there’s other, more enjoyable ways to do it 🍽️
I've been the Community Manager for Vodafone since January 2016 which was my first position within the company.
I live with my other half and 2 naughty cats, if we’re not watching a film, chasing the cats out of the kitchen or working we’ll be out trying new food, seeing friends/family or at a car show/race track. I’d like to spend more time out of the country over the next few years ideally going back to Germany or Holland for holidays.
@Alex: Danni is currently out of the office on maternity leave, so this post will be updated with more exciting information once she returns - congratulations Danni! 👶
Update from @Phil - Danni has returned back from maternity leave but has moved on to being a Manager within Customer Relations. The Community will be taken under the wing of myself and @Alex will continue to play a large role in keeping it running!
I joined Vodafone on the same day as @John (9 January 2017) and I'm so glad I applied! The Social Media role is everything you'd want it to be and more. It's such a fast paced environment which keeps you on your toes yet provides amazing opportunities to develop your skills and progress throughout Vodafone.
Before I started here, I spent two years working at UK's biggest Theme Park in a Sales & Customer Service role. After my first year I became a Team Leader within my department. We were responsible for the sales of annual passes, fastracks etc but more importantly, we were on the front line of customer service, speaking to those who's day hadn't gone to plan and making sure we turned that around 🎢
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and it was a great experience, but after two years I was ready to take on my next exciting challenge, so here I am!
When I was studying at college, I did a public services course for two years. Going into the public services is something I'm interested in doing at some point in my life and if I had to choose one, it'd definitely be the Fire Service 🚒
I've been trained as a Network Specialist within Social Media and this is something which I never saw myself doing, but now I really take a great interest on!
I'm currently covering for @Danni (our Community manager) whilst she's away on maternity and I've been doing this since the beginning of November. It's something I really wanted to get involved with and I'm grateful to be given the chance to do it. Working on this channel was one of the first things I learnt when I started at Vodafone (alongside Networks) so it holds a special place in my heart - so cheesy! 🧀

• A good meme
• Cars (My unrealistic dream car is a Lamborghini Huracan Performante)
• Xbox (Fifa 18 & Fortnite) 🎮
• Traffic! 🚗🚕🚌
• I'm not a massive fan of oatcakes, which is quite controversial working in Stoke! 😳
Started Vodafone straight into Social Media on 9 January 2017! I've previously worked in a number of roles including behind a bar, at a biscuit factory and as a baker - don't worry though, I have loads of social media experience through voluntary work! 😂
I've always had a love for Social Media especially the Marketing potential and Analytical sphere (especially from my younger years when I first joined Facebook in 2009 – I know this seems nerdy but was always impressed at the numbers and potential of impact Social Media had. E.g. your words are archived, the likelihood of seeing new things/stories over Social Media before you would the news on Television, radio or Newspapers.) As I got older and become a more avid purchaser of products it amazed me how accessible customer care can be via Social Media and how rapid a response you can get in comparison to outdated complaint systems (which is why I love to be involved in this job) ❤️
I first applied my love for Social Media at University whilst studying. I volunteered to do the Social Media for the student paper Humanity Hallows. This included scheduling posts, writing punchy headlines to advertised blogs and articles (only had a couple of thousand following and I thought this was massive at the time hahah) 😆
I then applied for Social Media at Vodafone because why not get paid for something you love! The numbers impressed me, the brand was massive and millions of people could see the words I was writing. I always knew the potential for Social Media is massive and hope to continue my Social Media career within Vodafone and ride the Social Media wave for as long as possible. As generations grow Social Media (and the demand for Customer Care over Social Media) Will only get bigger and I couldn’t think of a better company to be a part of.
Current device - iPhone 6, definitely due an upgrade!
• Spending time with my girlfriend 👫
• Being lazy and sitting on my Playstation
• Occasionally I sing and play guitar 🎸
• Busy pubs
• Seeing people upset 😢
I joined Vodafone in May 2016 as a member of the Social Media team. Previously I worked at a marketing agency for a year that designed and sold promotional items to local businesses, from pens to balloons 🎈
Before that I did an internship at another marketing agency and another at BBC Radio Stoke after graduating University.
During my time at Vodafone I've had the chance to become an expert in certain areas, I'm a Systems Super User (which includes billing, accounts and system errors) and I'm a pro at all things Sure Signal! 💁♀️
In my free time I like to analyse films/TV shows - talking about their themes, plots etc (putting my Film degree to good use still!) 🎥
I had a radio show at University and one of my favourite parts was making content and competitions on Facebook and Twitter for my listeners. Before I graduated I decided that a job focusing on Social Media and helping people would be the goal and nearly four years later I’m here!

• I’m a big hip hop fan which a lot of people don’t expect 🎵
• Comedy films and box sets – The Office (the American one) is my favourite TV show
• I’m not really much for fruit (unless it’s covered in chocolate) 🤤
• Waking me up from a deep sleep isn’t recommended!
I started back in 2002 and since then I’ve worked in several departments and for different campaigns - all focused around customer service. I did leave Vodafone back in 2010 for a year and went into Caring in the Community. I loved it, although the hours were very long and unsociable. I re-joined Vodafone back in 2011 😄
Helping our customers and taking ownership of queries is my favourite part of the job, every day can be different in our team and we get to do the work of most departments within Vodafone all put together! 💪

• Going on camping holidays 🏕️
• Spending time with my daughter Paige and dog Peach 🐶
• Bad smells! 👃
I joined Vodafone as part of the Social Media team in August 2016. It’s the best team and I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else (not that I’m biased obviously) 🙄
I’m an R&R (Reward and Recognition) rep for Social Media and Customer Relations. I help to organise incentives and reward days, where advisers are recognised for their hard work. It’s really fun and very rewarding!
I first started to learn Media in education in college when I chose it as one of my A levels. I’ve always been a creative person so it fitted in really well with everything else I loved. I went on to study it for my degree and decided then, that it was the career path I was looking to go down. The rest all fell into place (luckily for me) 🍀

I’ve chosen iPhones for the last 10 years – after my much loved but very old Blackberry died on me (R.I.P). I always tend to go for the smaller model!
• Spending time with family and friends, having good food, drinks and playing games! I’m still the reigning champion of Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit 🏆
• Visiting new places and exploring. I’m 100% that typical tourist, who takes terrible photos of half of my face in front of the Eiffel Tower.
• Bananas. By far one of the worst things to ever be discovered. They smell horrible, feel horrible, look horrible and taste… well I can’t get past the first three to actually try them – but I can imagine it’s horrible! 🍌
• Being ill 🤒
I've been with Vodafone since October 2011 when I first joined the Corporate team. In May 2015 I made the leap to Social Media and I've been here ever since.
I haven't always worked for Vodafone though, before I started I used to be a Superhero! I find the most helpful apps are the Superhero messaging app & the bad guy tracker - although since leaving my access has been restricted 😢
My other hobby includes being an awesome radio host (Every Saturday between 8-10 pm on 6 towns radio. You can join me for all the best hip hop, RnB, Reggae and Grime here: 6towns.co.uk) 😉

• Short battery life
• Getting beat in Fantasy Football ⚽
I’ve been with the company since December 2016, specifically within the Social Media team. Before my time here I used to work in a market leading estate planning company.
Unfortunately, I was made redundant from my previous role and I was desperate to continue my passion for social media. I came across a job advert on LinkedIn, so I applied, got the job and it’s been one of the better decisions I’ve made!
My specialist areas include Broadband and Credit File and I'm interested in Social Media Profiling, SEO and digital marketing - I'm also pretty good at making the team laugh! 😂
Current device - iPhone SE (I also have an iPad Pro which I absolutely love)
• Golf (currently playing off a 16 handicap - although this may vary through the year, lol) 🏌️♂️
• Football (Stoke City fan – I know, I know)
• Dairy products (I’m lactose intolerant – apparently) 🐄
• Wedding talk!!! I’m getting married this year and as you can imagine it’s all I hear about at home 👰
I’ve been with Vodafone since 2016. I worked very briefly in Business sales (where I learned I’m much better suited to customer care) and then worked in a team taking inbound calls. I finally made the move to Social Media in October 2017 😊
Before Vodafone, I worked as a Chef in a pub for 4 years! 👩🍳
I applied for this role as I’m very active on social media anyway and wanted to try something completely different than I’d done before whilst working at Vodafone. My specialist areas include Broadband queries, Android & Twitter!
Current device - Samsung S8
• Dogs (I mean most animals, but especially dogs, all dogs!) 🐕
• Nerdy stuff (Gaming, Harry Potter, Comic books, Manga etc etc)
• People who don’t like dogs
• Heights are a big no no! 🙅
I joined Vodafone in September 2015 and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I started as a customer service adviser on the phones helping customers with their broadband and mobile issues.
After doing this for a a year I became a broadband specialist where I was tasked with fixing complex broadband issues.
I'm very pleased that my path within Vodafone has led me to becoming part of our amazing Social Media team. Our Social Media team were very welcoming and I couldn't happier to have been given the opportunity to join them.
I've been fascinated about our Social Media team since I joined Vodafone and have always been keen to get involved. Some of you will already know me on the forum under my public name @T_Scarface_M.
I have been part of this forum periodically throughout my time at Vodafone joining in 2015, helping out whenever I had some spare time hoping that someday this role became available.
I'm delighted to be able to continue the work I've done on this forum in the past and take it that step further to helping any of you with your issues for many years to come
Current device - iPhone X, I love me an Apple gadget
• Spending time with my fiancée and my 5 year old daughter 👨👩👧

Hey Guys ☺️
I joined Vodafone in May 2016 as a member of the Customer Care team and joined the Social Media team in March 2018. Previously I worked at the Fragrance Shop for two years, whilst I was studying a Teaching Degree. I finally graduated in July 2016 and all of the hard work paid off 🎓
My favourite part of working at Vodafone is taking ownership of all customer queries and helping them to the best of my ability. Each day is different within the Social Media team and its great to get stuck in 🔍
