Vodafone block MMS on certain plans such as Vodafone basics. Does this apply to your plan?

I topped up £10 and have Big Value Bundle but I also added £5 to send some picture messages

Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile network > Access Point Names. Press the menu button and choose to add new APN. Use the following settings:

  • Name: Vodafone internet
  • APN  – pp.vodafone.co.uk
  • Username: wap
  • Password: wap
  • MMSC: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
  • MMS Proxy: 212.183.137.12
  • MMS Port: 8799
  • Authentication Type: None
  • APN Type: default,mms,supl

Thank you it worked

It's stopped working now, there's enough credits and picture size is small enough and the apn settings are the same

Even with sufficient credits and correct APN settings, the persistent network error on your Samsung S10 might be due to MMS size limitations; try resizing the image further for successful texting.

Experiencing a "network error" while trying to send a photo via text message on your Samsung S10, despite having enough credits and the correct Vodafone APN settings, could be due to factors like the image size approaching MMS limits, weak network signals, incorrect APN settings, recipient device compatibility, or messaging app/software updates. Check these aspects, ensure a stable network signal, and consider reaching out to Vodafone support if the issue persists.
