Take another look at the thread - the OP did manage to recover some of the files that had been deleted.   Just follow the instructions that have been given and you may be able to recover some of your files

If you want to recover deleted files, you need to do it as soon as you can.   It's also advisable to stop using the device/storage in question until you have.  For this reason, recovery is best done via a remote connection.

Files are "deleted" by removing the directory entry, which frees the allocation units up to be overwritten.  Even installing recovery software can start to do this.  The recovery process reads the original data and recreates the directory entries.   It sounds as though the process has gone quite a long way inthis case.   Once that's happened, recovery is not possible other than by very specialist software, and this is an expensive process.

The best way of dealign with the whole situation is to make sure all your important files are duplicated somewhere else.   In the case of photos, syncing with Dropbox or Google Drive (or even both) is the easiest solution.

But do bear in mind that adding anything to your phone runs the risk of over-writing the very data you're trying to recover.   Best advice is to sync photos with an online service such as Dropbox or Google Photos.

Hey, you can only recover your deleted photos in S4 by using the iPhone Data Recovery toolkit, such as FORecoevry to name a few. Actually, deleted photos are just erased from your iPhone invisibly, they still exist inside your iPhone. So, once you deleted your pics accidentally, take actions to retrieve it as fast as you can. You can scan your iPhone with the software and then recover photos from it. This recovery software can also retrieve photos from iCloud backup file.

For future reference, I really would suggest backing up your data to a computer or cloud. And here is the link I found useful info for me. You can take a reference from it. How to Recover Deleted Photos in Internal Memory from iPhone 4S.  https://www.forecovery.com/iphone/recover-deleted-iphone-photos.html

Anyway, just take a try and good luck for you!!!

Be careful of any external links as there's know way of knowing where they originate.   There are plenty of legitimate undeletion apps.   As has been said before, try to work externally - ie with the phone connected to a computer as external storage.  Also, don't use the device if you can avoid it as anything written to storage may start over-writing what you want to recover.

And, of course, back all your important content up.  Photos can be sync'd automatically to Dropbox, Google Photos etc.
