Wifi calling works when it's connected. It will connect automayically sometimes. After some time however, walking in and out of phone signal and/or wifi, it seems to give up and the only way to get wificalling back is to restart the phone and then it connects on start up.........until it disconnects again.......bit of a fail really.....For example if you have to receive a verification code and look down to see that your phone has dropped the wifi calling. Then a restart is needed to get the code....at which point several messages appear in the answering service....and so on.....

Hey @RyanER I hope you're well! I can certainly appreciate how frustrating this must be. Are you noticing your Wi-Fi connection dropping on any other device? Is this only an issue when you're connected to your home Wi-Fi or any Wi-Fi connection?

As I understand it, Vodafone's version of wifi calling only kicks in when the mobile signal is weak.   It may be that you're in a strong enough signal area for it not to be needed.  It may also be possible to set wifi calling to "preferred" (I don't have it, so I'm not sure whether this is an option).

You could also try putting your phone in Airplane mode, but turning wifi on.   This should force wifi calling to operate.

I've had this a lot (Moto Razr+). WiFi calling on Vodafone works fine for a while, then stops. Toggling the "Use WiFi calling" setting sometimes re-enables it, but not often. A full reset of the phone fixes it. It's not the phone, because I use various eSIMs in the device (from 3, EE etc) and WiFi calling works consistently with those SIMs. I think Vodafone's WiFi calling setting is just a bit flaky TBH.
