It looks like you’ve swapped your sim or updated your software

Every time I connect then disconnect by bluetooth to my Porsche PCM 3.1 phone enabled car I get the message "It looks like you’ve swapped your sim or updated your software " and then a text with new APN settings.  Why is this? It is very annoying.  It doesn't happen on my Audi.

Yes, that is indeed what happens and this has been an issue with some (mostly German, it seems) cars.   I'm glad you've solved the problem as the only other route is to get a system update for the car and that can be very expensive.

Absolutely!  Any sort of update for Audi,  VW and Porsche cost a fortune.
