Hi. After waiting for a Miui upgrade for over a year Vodafone has rolled one out today. I've done the upgrade and I am unable to enable my SIM card and hence unable to make calls. Any ideas? TIA

Hi everyone, thanks so much for flagging and rest assured this is something we've been working on with the manufacturer to get you all connected to what you love again.

To keep you all updated, Xiaomi have advised that a patch is going through final testing through their side and we're looking to verify this from our side today.

All going well, this patch should be with you over the next few days, by next week at the very latest.

Please don't try any troubleshooting steps such as a factory reset or arranging a repair of the phone as once the software is out, this will resolve things for you.

Once we have confirmation that the fix is working and when it can be released, we'll let you know ASAP here.

Does that wipe everything saved to your phone?

Yes, but I backed everything up to google and xiaomi cloud account and my phone is as normal now

Yup, wipes the phone clean.

It does, please make sure everything is backed up before you do it

Not working for me either! I have already done one time-consuming and pointless factory reset this week - I am not about to do another

I felt like you do a few hours ago, but I did the factory reset  (10 minutes) and voila it all works as normal now

Dont factory reset without trying this first

SETTINGS / SIM CARD and mobile networks / Access Point Names

Then hit the reset button

This worked for me

Unbelievable they can get it so wrong twice !!! same scenario here no signal everything greyed out on settings and no network detected I'm loathe to factory reset but looks like my only option Good Luck Everyone Keep Safe .

I was going to call bu*ls*it but factory reset worked for me. All working so far !
