S20 message delivery report not working

I have a Samsung galaxy s20 ultra, which has the option to show delivered, read and typing notifications when sending text sms messages. This is not working despite it being turned on in the settings. Carrying out some online research I gave found that it has to be enabled by your network? Any advice?

Have a look at this thread.   I don't use Samsung devices these days and don't get these messages.   It sounds as though Samsung may have updated something that's caused them to stop for you.

I think it is a Vodafone problem not a Samsung one because the same thing has recently started to happen with my Sony phone, which has not been updated for a long time and will have a different Messaging App.
