Usually when an update is officially available for a particular phone model its available in the phones own software update section @Mrpierre
If the phone was supplied by Vodafone then this is their firmware statement Firmware-Explained.

Hi @Mrpierre
Android Pie is an old software released August 2018 version 9and this should have been pushed to your phone shortly after it was released. The latest software is Android 11.
You can find how to download Pie from Android Authority here: How to instal Android Pie
As your phone would have been released May 2017, I would suggest you go to about phone and check for any software download, there may be a later version you are able to instal.

It'll come down towhether HTC have released a later verion of the operating system. I'd check on their website and, if necessary, contact them to see. Manufacturers are often slow to relase updates and some devices never get them, on top of which they usualyl stop after two years anyway. It's mainly down to resources and the installed user base afaik.
