Hi everyone.
Recently Joined Vodafone and got a Google Pixel 8 when i joined. I have a niggling problem where sometimes notifications don't come through. I think it predominantly happens when the Phone is locked and not been used for a good few minutes. It's like the phone is switching off the data to conserve battery or something.
It's getting annoying as I sometimes miss important emails or when someone rings my Ring doorbell or when it detects motion I don't get the notification through.
I've done a google search and it seems as though other people are having similar issues but all the solutions people suggest don't work.
Any thoughts here? Thanks

Hey @Tommy_L Thanks for your post - I can imagine that's frustrating! Apologies if you've done this already, but first please could you check if you have "Skip lock screen" enabled in the face unlock settings. Go to Settings > Security > Device unlock > Fingerprint & Face unlock >Face unlock
Let me know how you get on.

Hi @Janey
I don't use the face unlock feature, only finger or pattern lock

@Tommy_L I'm thinking it could be some sort of battery saving feature also. Have you checked the apps battery usage in settings? I would advise making sure you have battery use set to unrestricted. If you're unsure how to do this, I have popped the steps below,
Open your device's Settings app
Tap Apps
Tap the app you want to change
Tap Battery
Select Unrestricted
