when I get an incoming call, they all appear as +7 rather than +44 or 07 its calling all incoming numbers to not be recognized even if they are in my contacts list.
don't know if it's my phone or Vodaphone. if anyone can advise on a fix please let me know

+7 is the country code for Russia.
You don't mention where you purchased the phone, if the phone came direct from Vodafone UK this will be a strange one for sure.
In this instance, a factory reset may well be in order to clear the phone of bugs.
@jaeblaze a factory reset is often needed after a large update to clear the phone of any bugs remaining on the previous software. Give it a go and see if it helps.

yea purchased from Vodaphone. it has been doing it since it last updated. very frustrating.
