Vodafone tried fixing my phone 4 times since Nov (under warranty) and then just told me they can't fix it. They agreed to new replacement and then told me they don't have it in stock and cannot give me delivery date. So it may take 4 months before i receive a replacement. Won't give me a loan phone and to replace with different phone want to charge me £80. Disgraceful and terrible serive. I have complained but they just keep sending me round in cirecles. Please HELP!

Hi
May I ask which phone model needs replacing ?
If they do not have a replacement refurbished phone to supply then it may take time to get one.
I appreciate that this should be within a reasonable time frame.
The only time I'm aware that another model of similar specs is if the original is discontinued and none are left.
Courtesy phones are available to contract customers only on eligible contracts and not payg I'm afraid.
I can only suggest to persevere with customer service to get this resolved.

Hi
@BandofBrthers thank you for your response
It is an LG G4 and they have agreed to new phone not refurbished as my phone was in mint condition and Vodafone are at fault in destrying it in the 1st place.
I understand taking time to source the handset but Vodafone won't give me any assurance in regards to ETA. 3 months to reslove the issue is unaccepltable I hope you will agree. Also, I have no phone to use in the mean time. Advice?

3 months is a long time to have to wait.
That model of phone is showing as No longer available on the Vodafone Shop which may be causing some problems in sourcing one.
Can you perhaps borrow a phone from family or friends. Some do have ones sat in drawers. Not the best I know.
The Vodafone Community Forum Team who are staff maybe able to help. Hang in there first them to catch up with your thread.

@BandofBrothers thank you for your help. I have borrowed a phone but I am unable to make or receive calls and to make matters worse Vodafone keeps ringing the same number despite me providing them with an alternative phone number of a family member.
I will wait for the Forum team to pick this up and advise.

You're welcome.
Does the Vodafone name show up in the phones status bar or not ?
Is the phone definitely unlocked or locked to Vodafone so it accepts the Vodafone sim card.
If this is happening everywhere so your local masts are not at issue them this could be...
The phone you've borrowed is faulty.
Your sim card has gone faulty to which any Vodafone store can replace.
Your account needs to be looked at - customer service can do this.

@BandofBrothers not sure what you are referring to but it's the spare phone I am using is faulty.
As my LG G4 has been with Vodafone for last 3 months. Please note that I bought the LG G4 from Vodafone and it was under warranty.
I have spent over 6 hours on the phone talking to different Vodafone teams and had to visit the store 9 times in total. I am not sure how much longer it will take to get a new replacement phone. I am really disappointed at how I have been treated by Vodafone and it makes you feel like Vodafone does not care at all about it's PAYG customers

Hi @ofayub
I was wondering if the the phone your using maybe faulty itself or your sim card has issues.
I certainly understand your frustrated and unimpressed at this and rightly so. I'm sure one of the Vodafone Team here will see if they can further help and guide you.

Hi @ofayub
I guess you have the known problem boot loop issue with the LG4.
If this is correct, it is recommended to contact LG direct, being a known problem with the LG4, LG will replace the Motherboard and repair the phone free of charge. Be careful not to mention Vodafone have already tried and failed to repair.
Ask Vodafone to return the phone and then contact LG Support to make arrangements for a repair. LG are very good and they will probably arrange for the phone to be collected and returned to you fully working with a new Motherboard.
You can contact LG on the link below.
If by any chance Vodafone cannot locate and the repair centre have lost the phone, it is unlikely you willl get a replacement G4, they are not available, but be insistant on an equivalent replacement.

@ AnnS Thank you for your response.
That was the original issue and Vodafone did replace the motherboard. But since then they have replaced LCD and some other components and still cannot fix the problem. Top half of screen is darker than bottom half.
Vodafone have my phone now so unfortunately cannot do much in regards to contacting LG. It's Vodafone's repair team who have caused the screen issue so they need to resolve it.
