From research I see Vodafone have the same 4g frequencies as o2 apart from 2600Mhz which allows for high capacity. Does anyone know if this frequency is widely used by Vodafone or only selected cities? Cheers.

Vodafone's spectrum portfolio is rather different to O2's; 2600MHz isn't the only band of difference.
2600MHz is deployed in major cities: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Reading, Bracknell, Portsmouth and Southampton are the ones that come to mind.

Around London, band 7 is widely used. Band 38 is not widely used, but apparently there are band 38 sites. Both of these are 2600 MHz bands.
Band 7 makes an incredible difference to capacity, and you can tell when you're connected to it and when you aren't; but range is quite poor due to the high frequency.
