Android 4.4 for Galaxy S4 Active release date?

As the Subject says, does anyone at Vodafone know when the S4 Active will be given the 4.4 OTA update?

Have to say I find this response and link confusing I have s4 active and waiting on firmware update to utilise my garmin functionality. Yet 2 foot down the sofa is my hubby using standard S4 and he is on the latest version of firmware. Why such a delay for active customers?

The reason for this, is due to a combination of Vodafone and Samsung.

The S4 was the Flagship of 2013 and adopted by Millions, the S4 Active was a variation of that flagship and sold roughly just over 1 Million. 

So I Samsung's eyes, it was the case of we should put out a 4.4 update beacause all the other S4s have it. but OTA updates are controlled by Vodafone, and basically their response is....not enough preople has bought this phone, so why bother with updating it, even though 4.4 is a majorly important security update.

That's Samsung for you... They have so many versions of each Phone, I think even they struggle to keep up to date?

Vodafone Do Not control the release of OTA updates.
They do get opportunities to test the firmware prior to release which could slow down the process.
Samsung firmly stay in control of sending out updates from their servers.

If you follow sammobile.com on Twitter they give out all the Samsung device firmware release dates/times before anyone else. Or you can just check their website.
Vodafone never give out info about firmware release in case times change.
