It looks highly likely that Apple Pay is coming to Britain soon and it's likely to be announced at tomorrow evening's WWDC keynote presentation.
Do we think that Apple Pay will finally shake up the mobile phone contactless payment market?
Would you use it if and when it comes here? (Non Apple users can answer as well).
How will this affect the Vodafone offering which has a number of restrictions?

All you have to do is go into the passport app and it will automatically show Apple Pay options after a few seconds.
HSBC isn't going live today after all but Nat West is. Barclays are still faffing around so I think I'll have to get a card that will work with Apple Pay - perhaps an Amex card or something from MBNA.

@BandOfBrothers Looks like HSBC will be late to the party...

They still mention July so i suspect it's probably some relatively small issue. I'd take a guess it's probably something in the support side of things, maybe training issues or something. We will never know though.

I've applied for an MBNA credit card to use with Apple Pay. Barclays won't be ready for months and I didn't want to wait.

As soon as that card arrives I'm off, and being in and around London there will be no shortage of outlets. There are big signs in London Underground stations about Apple Pay.
