Battery draining while SS pluged in

Morning all,

Purchased a v3 SS Saturday, got it up and running by sunday morning. Great to have a good signal at last, BUT...

I am noticing that while the SS is pluged in, my battery is draining fast.

And I am connected to my home Wi-Fi not the SS for data.

SS NOT pluged in: phone sitting on the side 95% @ 18.00hrs, 88% @ 21.00hrs and I not even touched the phone.

SS pluged in:  phone sitting on the side 98% @ 18.00hrs, 30% @ 21.00hrs and I not even touched the phone.

On a working daytime and using the phone at 05.00hrs 100% and by 17.00hrs 45%

Anyone got any ideas why this is happening ?

On your phone, what is your preferred mobile connection method? 4G?

Maybe you have your phone preferring 4G and so it spends the time searching for 4G, while connecting on 3G to the SS?

No idea if that is correct but a quick test might show any difference?

It's a HTC M8, and it is set to auto, but it is off at home as I connect with Wi-Fi.

I only got it for the signal so I could use the phone at home.

so try changing the mobile from 'auto' to '2g+3g' or similar on the HTC

See if that helps by stopping it looking for 4g?
