Solution

Being charged for Entertainment Pack

Otuama34

Hi.

I'm going to try the forum with this problem because online chat a few months ago didn't fix the issue even though I'd be told it would be.

On my last mobile contract, as a 'Red' customer, I had Spotify for 2 years.

When I upgraded my phone, I chose the Red Value 8GB Bundle (24 months).

Everything was fine until September when I had a text saying I was no longer eligible for Spotify.

I spoke to someone on the Vodafone chat and to cut a long story short, I was told that I would get Spotify for 12 months.

When I said it should be for 24 months, I was told I'd have to get in touch with Vodafone and they'd extend it for another 12 months.

I thought this was stupid but at least I wouldn't be charged.

The person took me through some steps to get the entertainment pack set up again.

I'm reading my transcript as I type this......

When I clicked on the Spotify option it said it's £9.99/mth.  I went through a few steps I was told like uninstall Spotify, turn off wifi, turn on data etc.  It  still said it'd be £9.99.  I was told not to worry and that I won't be charged.

Anyway, a month down the road I was sent a text by Vodafone saying my 1month trial was almost up.  I was told I wouldn't be charged so ignored it.  I should have got in touch again because I have been charged an extra £9.99 for a few months.  I haven't had time to sort it out until now.

I'm looking at my bills and I've been charged £59.99 since my 24th Nov bill.

I need this sorted out and be refunded the £29.97 I've been overcharged.  Can someone tell me how I can do this?  I'm not wasting my time going through chat again and I'd rather not call.

What I'd like is to have Spotify for the remainder of my contract, without having to get in touch again after a year to renew the subscription.

I've seen another post on the forum where the subscription was cancelled and started again.

Any help with this would be good.

Thanks,

Sean
