Blackberry Blend

Can't install Blackberry Blend on windows 8.1 PC.  Blackberry tell me you need to escalate to their Tech Team

I am thinking of upgrading to the Classic from the Q10. I back up all data on BB Link. Could someone that has made this upgrade explain what i do with the classic please? Will the classic restore from Link or does it need to connect with Blend. Could i back up the Q10 on Blend and restore to classic? Thank you

You can transfer your content through the BlackBerry Desktop software.

which of course only works if you can install it on your PC!
