Bringing number over from EE to Vodafone

I took out a contract with Vodafone on Friday. I cancelled my contract with EE and requested my PAC code. I went online and filled in the form and I was told my number from EE would be transferred to Vodafone by Monday 17:00.

 

Loads of problems on Monday with the transferring of the number but I left it until 17:00. I then realised if someone called me it went to my EE phone and texts etc would come to my Vodafone phone. I contacted Vodafone chat and they said 20:00 it should be sorted.

 

Roll on 20:00 and it still wasn't sorted so I went to bed. Tried this morning and if anyone calls me from any network except EE it works. Landlines, Tesco, Vodafone, O2 etc etc. But if someone on EE tries to phone my number it goes to my EE phone, how does this even work?

 

Contacted Vodafone chat and they told me to dial this number (it disabled my voicemail) and now I can't re-activate my voicemail or anything. I've waited all day and still nobody from EE can contact me. I just get a text saying I've got a missed call and when I check my phone with the EE sim card in, the call went to that phone.

 

So ... I've now lost Voicemail with Vodafone and I can't receive calls from anyone on EE. Brilliant!

 

All online chat say is give it 24 hours. Every other network I've used transfer the number and there is no issues. Why does Vodafone make it so difficult?

 

Also when I log onto Vodafone from my computer it shows my number that I brought over from EE. When I try and use the My Vodafone App on my phone it shows the temp number Vodafone gave me. I also can't log into the app either.

It does sound like the files have not completed properly. :Sad_face:

 

Has customer service passed this to the porting in teams ?

 

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do at your end but let Vodafone sort this out from there's.

All I was told is they will pass it to the 'concern team'. I just really need it sorting ASAP due to most people I contact via this phone are unfortunately on EE. This caused a lot of problems.

I can appreciate this situation would be frustrating and inconvenient. 

 

It sounds like this has then been escalated to where it needs to be. 

 

I hope this is resolved asap for you.
