Broadband not working after speed drop

Team,

I am having issues at present with my broadband, I was watching ITV hub absiolutely fine up until around 8.45 yesterday evening. It started to buffer a little and a speed check was showing that my speed had dropped from 33mbps down to 0.9mbps. At first I thought it was a slight slump so gave it 10mins. This did not rectify the problem so I reset my router using the reset button on the back.

Since resetting I now cannot get on at all, get to the sign in page and restart DSL line, click to restart and just get a page which says the below message:

Not Found

The requested URL/generate.204 was not found on this server.

Apache server at connectivitycheck.gstatic.com  port 80

I have no idea what has happened but it is still like this today when I woke up and tried again.

My problem being I have an engineer booked by Vodafone to come out today to look at a sync speed issue I have and this has just added to the problem. I tried calling and said the team I need isn't available and being in work I am now not with my router to perform any checks they need.

Green lights on the top = solid green apart from when I click to connect DSL line when they flash a little.

Bottom red light = Solid red, same as above flashes when I click to connect.

My devices state connected but no internet and I have tried both WIFI and wired to double check.

It appears I have no internet flowing through my line at this minute even though the green light is on.

Regards

Dan

That's very strange @dbolli 🤔 I'm sorry that you seem to have suddenly lost connection. It's very peculiar that the light's on your router are showing as connected.

Did the Engineer visit? What did they advise? Have you contacted us via Live Chat, or on the phone so we can run diagnostics on your line?

We'll be happy to forward your query onto our Broadband team for further investigation 🙂 So we can do this I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch.
