I have an old dongle that I used to use to get mobile broadband on my laptop when out in my caravan, I haven't used it for about 5 years. I recently purchased a Huawei 3550 unlocked to all networks and tried putting the simple card in it to get 3G but couldn't get it to work. As far as I can see the settings seem to be correct, do I need to buy a 3G package to get it to work. The old simple card still has £9 of credit on it and it is on the doesn't have an end date, the dongle would work as long as there was credit on it, any suggestions?

Hi @jagboy
SIM cards to tend to become old and not work as well as they used to.
You can pick a SIM card up from your local Vodafone store.
If the SIM card hasn’t been used for a period of time, it’ll be deactivated as per the Ts&Cs of Pay as you go.
You may also need to make sure that the Firmware on the dongle is up to date, for help with this check our dongle page.
Thanks,
Laura
