Calls not going to voicemail

Even though I have activated my voicemail, calls are just ringing out and do not go to voicemail. I tried using the advice on other messages i.e. **61 etc to reduce the time before going to voicemail but get a message saying MMI number cannot be connected or is invalid. Anyone know how to sort this and get my voicemail working? Thanks.

Can you de-activate the voicemail and then re-activate it again. See here for help how to do this.

I tried deactivating and reactivating the account and it has not worked. I don't see on the link you gave how I am supposed to contact you, it just brings me to the FAQs. Please confirm.
