Can I control the quality of service for my SureSignal?

Hello

I have a VSS and it works pretty well when nothing else is happening on my broadband line.  However if anybody else in my house is uploading or downloading something (eg streaming video for Netflix), then the voice quality goes bad.

is there some way that I can prioritise the traffic from and to the Suresignal?

My details below my signature.

Many thanks for all and any help

Ben

Hi Ben

If anything is possible, it will be within the settings of your home hub, although depending on the hub version and firmware, the options may or may not be there.

Have a look around the web interface for it, and see if there is anything that can either throttle the streaming sites, or priortise traffic to vodafone.

If you find something that looks like it could fit the bill, post a screenshot of the page back here and we'll see if people can offer suggestions on how to fill it in :Smiling:

Thanks Grolschuk

I can't see anything like this.  I have an old Homehub and I'm getting a new one so will report back when I have that.

I wondered if I am alone in having the problem I describe?

It does seem like a bit of a flaw!

Hi Ben,

It'll be a limitation of the router, but most let you prioritise certain connections over others. Which one is it you're getting next?

My team aren't able to offer router support here, as we don't supply them. However the community can if you'd like to continue to post your details. :Smiling:

Cheers,

Ben
