Cant receive icloud email when connected to router

Hi,

On my mac connected by Wifi and on my PC connected via ethernet via a switch to the Vodafone router I can't sync via my iCloud emails.  It times out.  If I connected the mac to a phone via tethered Wi-Fi it works fine.

Email works fine via browser and mobile phone.

Any advice on what is wrong.  The exact same setup worked fine with a Sky router before I swapped for the Vodafone one on changing service.  Also it blocking outside access to a plex server.
