Changed SIM card, need to resync sure signal

Hi,

I have just changed my SIM card, my number is still the same. Iv waited over 24 hours but my sure signal hasnt picked up the new sim yet. Could you please resync it?

Serial number is 40114210616

Can anyone from Vodafone help with this? Iv been unable to use my phone at home for 3 days now!

Could try unplugging the Sure Signal from power and plugging it back in after about 30 minutes?

 

This should force it to renew the session on the server.

Hi ultimatetj,

 

I've resynced your Sure Signal. Please reset to complete the process. 

 

Please can you try a factory reset as follows:

  • Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the rest button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
  • Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button
  • The VSS should come online within the hour

Hi Sukhi,

I have followed your steps to reset this twice now leaving 2 hours between attempts but still have no signal! Its really starting to become annoying. I received my phone on Thursday and still cant use it at home!

The resync Sukhi sent out was successful.

 

As it's still not working, please reset it:

 

  1. Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports
  2. Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  3. Once the lights come back on, release the button
  4. The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour

If it's still not working, please remove, then add the mobile number from the Sure Signal.

Hi Ian,

 

As mentioned in my reply to Sukhi, I have already tried restting it twice! 

 

I cannot remove the number and re-add it as I am the owner of the box and do not appear in the number list. This was the first thing i looked into before contacting you.

 

If I have to wait best part of a day every time for a reply from the Vodafone tech team, please take the time to ready my previous comments before asking me to do something  I have already done. 

 

So what are the next options I need to try? I am now into day 6 with no reception at home!!!!

You’ll need to deregister your number, as this is the main number linked to your Vodafone Sure Signal.

 

Once this has been done, you’ll need to re-register the Sure Signal again.

Thanks for getting back to me. This info would have been useful a few days ago lol. 

 

I have spoken to your techincal team who have now sorted it for me. I will check it when I get home to be sure though!
