You won't be able to use the Vodafone router on it's own with an alternative broadband provider, the router will be locked to Vodafone. The only thing you will be able to do will be to use the Vodafone router as a WiFi access point.
You would be better off purchasing your own router and contacting Plusnet for the settings.
