When trying to access a site my phone tells me you cannot check that content control has been removed (although it has) and therefore won't let me on, anybody else experiencing this?

Along with the content control problems I haven't been able to get a figure for data usage for well over a week now ! I've spent a lot with this company but will be going else where if not sorted out soon.

And just to improve matters it seems that th VF staffers have chosen to ignore the forum.

Hi Guys,

We are not ignoring this thread however due to the recent increase in traffic it has meant that it is taking a little longer than normal to respond to threads.

I can confirm that we have had an issue with content control over the past couple of days which should now be resolved.

If you are still experiencing any issues please follow the instructions that I have sent you via PM so that we can confirm that the bar has not been added back to your accounts.

You can find your PM inbox here.

Content control is still not working for me!

And like a long lost friend it is back. For 3 days your product worked but now Content control is back. How long for this time? I will go for 7 hours. Any other guesses?

Again !!... A-FRICKIN-GAIN !!!!..

This is just taking the ###### !...

Well... I feel for everyone on here.... but after a £400 bill... a £298 bill (Taking into account my contract is £25 per month...

My account being suspended 3 times "By ACCIDENT" ???.... NOW THIS ?.... and to top it off... throughout the problemwith this content control... I have been blamed for "Messing about" with my Internet explorer content control... When I proved the particular jumped up oik wrong on that he hung up ?... I was then told that I would have to make a series of phone calls (At my expense)... After that I was told to take my router to a Vodafone shop ???... Not once would any of these so called "TECHNICAL people admit that it is vodafones fault !!!...

And not once have I been offered a refund as I am paying over £25 per month FOR A FULL SERVICE !!!

I am now going to find the most amateur broadband supplier that I can find and I am going to sign up with them... At least I will be safe in the knowledge that I will be getting a far more professional service than I could ever imagine from this bunch !!!..

First time I have experienced this issue, I am using dongle on laptop. What's going on? Cant access sites. Will we get a refund for the days internet access we have lost this month?

I have been having the same issue for a few days too and would like to mirror the above question. I don't see why Content Control even exists.

As an aside, this block means that smartphone apps which are (for reasons only known to Vodafone - seriously, instant messaging?) blocked will simply not respond with no indication of the error.

If i take the dongle plus ID to the Vodafone store can they remove Content Control?

Hi Guys,

We did have another issue with content control yesterday not recognising that you have had the bar lifted.

The issue is a server issue which we have been assured has been fully rectified and you will need to perform a hard reset on the phone to reinstate the setting on the phone from the network.

@ Ellie2758, yes your local store will be able to remove the content control restriction for you if you take your photo ID in with you.

@ All, I know what you are saying about the bar being on every account not being necessary however as a company we have a certain responsibility to protect those who are not at the correct age to view or use certain services.

As we are seeing a large increase in parents purchasing contracts and dongles for their children then even though the account holder is over 18 we are not able to identify if the user will be, this is also apparent with PAYG SIMS as they can be ordered online free of charge without any age restrictions in place.

I’m sure that you can agree that at some point we need to be able to try and provide a safe environment for minors to use the mobile technology that they are provided with.
