Yes. About 50m gets some signal.

Yes.
4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?
Just 'No Signal' or on good days, 'Emergency calls only'. I hope that if my wife has a stroke that's it happens on a good day.

6) When did you first notice this issue?
Since joining Vodafone in the early days when 3G was just an idea in an engineer's mind.
7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?
Permanent, although there are rare occasions when I can get a signal by dangling the phone out of the upstairs bathroom window, but then I am unable to touch the screen to actually use it. This method does at least allow me to receive inbound texts, provided that my arm doesn't fatigue before they've arrived through the ether.
