1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service? Yes - 600m to better signal
2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? DL3 8NG
3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone? Had a number of phones over the years; signal always been poor
4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs? Calls drop or can't hear both ends of conversation
5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all? All
6) When did you first notice this issue? 2000
7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs? Permanent
Having issues with VSS 3. Would prefer just to have a good signal and not to rely on unreliable connection with VSS

Hi
On zooming out on the map on the network Checker i can see that surrounding masts are showing an issue which could be affecting your local masts as Vodafone perhaps maybe re route network traffic.
It says...
We're trying to fix a network issue which might be affecting calls coverage. It’s still being worked on by our engineers. We'll update this page as soon as we know more.

Thanks for reply, but signal here has been terrible for years...

You're welcome.
The Network Checker is indicating 2G,3G and 4G should be ok unless in a basement.
Appreciate what you say about the Sure Signal but it is a solution.
Also if on an eligible tariff and accepted phone Vodafone Calling over wifi.

Thanks again...
My phone and tariff don't support wifi calling
I'm sick of switching 4G to 3G, phone off and back on again to get the VSS to route calls and data; I'd rather bin it and instead receive a decent network signal in this densely populated area.

No worries.
I agree it does make sense to use a Network that supplies a good strong signal where one lives, works and commutes.
The Vodafone Network is investing daily in their network so I hope things improve.
Sometimes issies can be attributed to mast congestion which is where lots of people access the masts at approximately the same time.

@DaveA Looking at the coverage in your area, I can see you should have good 2G coverage, however 3G and 4G services may be intermittent as coverage is limited/patchy.
Although 2G coverage should be good within your area, the landscape of your house along with various other obstacles including buiding materials may limit the coverage.
You'll benefit from either Wi-Fi Calling or a Vodafone Sure Signal, which I can see you've mentioned you're already using.

So no prospect of money being committed to provide reliable 3G and 4G in this densely populated part of town...?

@DaveA We're always working on making improvements to our network accross the UK.
Any upgrades or maintanence improvements in relation to your area specifically will show on our Network status checker.
